Pressure is growing on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Man United’s latest defeat in the Champions League, coming just days after they were beaten at home by Arsenal.

The Red Devils are currently fifteenth in the Premier League, and could drop to just one place above the relegation zone if they lose to Everton on Saturday.

According to the MEN, the Red Devils have approached representatives for ex-Tottenham manager Pochettino, but are reluctant to sack Solskjaer so early into the season.

Pochettino has been out of work since he parted company with Spurs in 2019.

The Argentine is keen to return to the Premier League, and has been linked with the Manchester United job for some time.

“I’m not going to close any door,” said Pochettino, when asked on Sky Sports if he’d like to manage in England once again.

“I learnt when I was really, really young, [Pochettino’s former coach] Jorge Griffa would say, ‘Mauricio, football is going to dictate your way’.

“And I am waiting to feel what is the right project for us, which is the right way to take.”
