#EndSARS protesters break into Benin Prisons, free inmates

Protesters around Kings Square in Benin City, the capital city of Edo State have broken the walls of the headquarters of the Nigeria Correctional Centre (Nigeria prisons in Benin).

The protesters, after gaining entrance into the prison through the fence freed inmates in the prisons along Benin Sapele Road, near Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ office.

In Lagos, the protesters shut down Lagos State Government Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, on Monday.

The protesters stormed the secretariat very early, chanting anti-government songs and wielding different placards as they blocked workers from accessing their offices.

The #EndSARS protesters locked all the entrance and motorists, pedestrians were turned back from coming out and going into the premises.

However, security operatives are on standby in case of any break out of violence.
