The Spiritual Implications of Abraham Accord

Today, 15th Sept 2020, as I watched the historic signing of the Abraham Accord at the White House – the peace treaty between Israel and U.A.E.; and between Israel and Bahrain – I asked God, ‘What is the meaning of this unity at the spiritual realms, and what does this mean to the church?’

The term Abraham Accord was coined to imply the coming together of three faiths: Judaism, Islam and Christianity. The argument behind it is that all these three faith groups claim their foundation from the Abrahamic Covenant. For Jews and Arabs, Abraham is their literal father.

This “Abrahamic Peace” will proliferate throughout the Middle East with the next countries on line being Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, in my opinion. And once Saudi Arabia normalizes diplomatic relations with Israel, the 4,000 years deep-rooted curtain of hatred between Arab states and the State of Israel, will literally fall. And a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine will be established, for a while before the covenants are broken.

Whatever happens in the natural has an equivalent parallel in the spiritual dimension. Many carnal Christians because of lack of scriptural grounding will fall to the temptation that all religions are one. That we are all one. This is deception! We are not all praying the same God. Anyone, like me, who doesn’t support the oneness of religion will sound out of place and peace.

I warn you today, there will be a great falling away of Christians (2 Thes 2:3). Many will leave their faith (Matt 24:10) for new age beliefs that seem to accommodate everyone in the name of retention of fragile peace (1 Tim 4:1). Shall you be a victim of the Great Apostacy or shall you be a remnant of the Lord? Watch and pray that you may not be deceived (Matt 26:41).

But God is allowing this peace for one reason – for the gospel to penetrate the heart of Saudi Arabia, China, Iran and other nations that prohibit the preaching of the gospel. After everyone hears the good news of the Savior, such that no one will have any excuse, the end shall come.

Matthew 24:14 – And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

You will be judged for not sharing your faith. Preaching the gospel is not optional for the believer. You’ll be judged for everyone you know who’ll die without hearing the gospel from you. There are three ways you can preach the gospel. Witness to those around you. Pray for missionaries. Identify and financially support those who are directly and genuinely involved in winning souls for Jesus.

Today’s historic Abraham Accord marks the beginning of the era of peace. This era of peace will come to a sudden halt. Many will be caught unawares as true believers go extra celestial to meet the Lord (1 Thes 4:17).

1 Thessalonians 5:3 – While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

Nothing surprises God – God declares the end from the beginning. None is like Jehovah!

Isaiah 46:10-11 – I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.
