Netherlands Ambassador visits cleanup site in Bodo, Ogoniland

The Dutch Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Harry van Dijk, visited the Bodo cleanup site in Bodo, Ogoniland on Wednesday for an on-the-spot assessment of the Phase-2 of the cleanup where 800 youths from the community have been trained and are engaged in the cleanup expected to last about 24 months. The ambassador who was received by the Bodo Mediation Initiative, SPDC’s Ogoni Restoration Project team and the traditional head of Bodo, His Royal Highness, John Beredon, expressed satisfaction with the cleanup progress.
