Udoji joined Enyimba in 2009 and served for five seasons before his departure in 2016 to Kano Pillars. The central defender who had shown unbelievable consistency since joining the Aba Landlords was appointed the captain of The People’s Elephant at the start of the 2013 season.
In Udoji, Enyimba had found the perfect leader. He established himself not only as a top-class centre-half but as a man who can steer his team from the abyss. In some crucial away games, Udoji could be counted on to lift the spirits of his men.
