A woman, Ikodiya Uche has been strangled to death by a man who claims to be a lawyer in the presence of her daughter, son in law and grand children in Ihechiowa Community, Arochukwu LGA of Abia State.
It was gathered that Dr. Anthony Ndu Agwu had been presenting himself as a certified lawyer and had carried out a lot of atrocities in the village until some people became suspicious of his activities and claims.
They later contacted the chambers of Emeka Etiaba who then write yo the Supreme Court seeking clarification on Dr. Ndu as a registered solicitor.
The Supreme Court in a response to the letter, said it has no record of “Barrister Ndu” being registered as a solicitor of the Supreme Court.
This revelation was said to have angered “Barrister” Ndu who then allegedly sponsored some people to burn down the homes of Ikodiya Uche and her brother.
It was during this process that the woman was allegedly strangled.
A source in the Abia State a Police command confirmed the report and said the matter is under investigation at the instance of the Abia State Commissioner of Police’.
