President Muhammadu Buhari Friday hit out at his wife, Aisha, saying she has no political knowledge and belongs to his bedroom and kitchen. He was responding to Aisha Buhari`s interview with the BBC in which she alleged that her husband has no control of the government as it was bring run by cabals.
Buhari who is on a state visit to Germany reacted to the interview during a joint press briefing with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The AP news agency says President Buhari laughed it off and said: “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room.”
Mr Buhari further said that he has much more political experience than his wife
“So I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition, because in the end I have succeeded. It’s not easy to satisfy the whole Nigerian opposition parties or to participate in the government.”
