Hard Drug Peddlers, Addicts take over Anambra community

The President General of Obosi community, Idemili North Local Government Area Anambra State, Mr Ike Madubosa, revealed at the 2016 Ofala Festival of the community that hard drug peddlers/addicts have taken over the community and urged the security operatives to come to the rescue of the people .

Reacting to the alleged reports of kidnapping , murder and other high profile crimes in the area he attributed them to the spate of hard drug barons who according to him, “no longer hide sale of hard drugs”.

The PG who prayed God to guard him having mounted the mantle of leadership about three months ago expressed optimism that his leadership would restore peace in the community.

His words: “I call on all including those who contested the election with me and failed to come and join hand with me to move Obosi forward.

In his Ofala speech, the traditional ruler of Obosi, Igwe Dubem Iweka, urged the youths to abstain from hard drugs addition/sale and look for legitimate means of livelihood.
The monarch commended the efforts of Governor Willie Obiano for fighting crime in the state adding that the people can now sleep with both eyes closed.

In his speech after being conferred with a chieftaincy title of “Onwa” by the monarch, Ven Dr Oswad Ezekwere, the Archdeacon in charge of Obosi Archdeaconry, urged the youths to be of good behavior and seek the kingdom of God.
He urged both the state and federal governments to create employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths.

The cleric commended the mornach for honouring him adding that it would spur him to do better than he has done in his evangelism work.
