Madumere hails Okorocha on Maiden South-East August meeting

In a release signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Uche Onwuchekwa, the number two citizen of Imo State described the just concluded maiden South-East August Meeting as a true show of love by” the Wife of the Governor” through effort in mobilizing, uniting and preparing the South-East mothers for the future, saying the event could not have come at a better time than now.

He also said that it was another effort of the Rescue Mission led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha towards ensuring there is a focused effort towards uniting and mobilizing Ndi-Igbo in a bid to achieving a more cohere and unified people with an articulated blueprint to building a strong regional sustainable economy.

According to the release, Prince Madumere averred that Her Excellency, Ugo Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha has given the needed leadership in ensuring that Igbo women who are known for their industry and resilience are re-invigorated through various empowerment programmes especially her “She Needs a Roof (SNARP)” programme, which has provided about two hundred indigent widows across twenty-seven local government areas of the State with tastefully furnished two bedroom apartments with financial empowerment.

He called on the South East women leaders led by the wives of the Governors to sustain the tempo by collectively championing the course of women and mobilizing them towards greatness especially equipping the younger generations of women with the necessary skills and leadership qualities to face today’s and future challenges.
