Okorocha condoles with UNIZIK VC over mother’s death

Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has commiserated with Professor Joseph Ahaneku, the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka-Anambra State and family over the transition of their mother, late lady Elizabeth Adaure Ahaneku, describing her as a great giver to humanity.
According to a press release signed by the Media aide to the Deputy Governor, Uche Onwuchekwa, Governor Okorocha made this remark through his Deputy, Prince Eze Madumere who paid a condolence visit to Prof. Ahaneku at his country home in Ahiara, Ahiazu Maise local government of Imo State.
While eulogizing late lolo Elizabeth Ahaneku for her commitment and strong believer of Christian values, Prince Madumere extolled her for her devotion to ensuring that her children were brought up in the way of The Lord and soundly nurtured to become shining lights to their community and the Nation at large.
Speaking further, he reminded them the need to keep alive those cherished values their late mother held so dear to her belief while still alive.
He prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss while praying for the repose of her soul in Christ Jesus.
In his response, Prof. Ahaneku thanked Governor Okorocha and his deputy, Prince Madumere profoundly for identifying with the family at such time.
He thanked God for his mercies upon the family and for keeping mama up to the age of 96, which gave them room to appreciate her for all her good deeds upon the children and the community in general.
He also used the opportunity to commend Governor Okorocha effort in governance and prayed that his effort will usher in even a much knowledgeable generation for future challenges.
