Details have emerged how Jessica Edionwele, daughter of Hon. Joe Edionwele, House of Representatives member representing Esan Constituency, Edo State who was recently declared kidnapped, arranged her own abduction with her boyfriend.
It would be recalled that Jessica had called her parents earlier last Wednesday that she would be coming to Abuja that day.
She then left Ibadan, where she was serving, for Lagos to board an aircraft to Abuja.
She landed safely in Abuja but instead of running into the waiting hands of her father, took an airport taxi that drove her away to an unknown destination.
The dad, who had come to pick her at the airport, searched for her without success.
Worried family and friends later contacted the police to officially report a “missing” lady.
While the family and police were running around, making frantic efforts to get her released, she was right in the bossom of her boyfriend in Lugbe, an outskirt of FCT, Abuja.
Jessica was said to have given her father’s telephone number to her ‘abductor’, who called and threatened that if the dad wanted her daughter back alive, he should pay a ransom.
Luck however, ran against them when her pictures being widely circulated on the social media.
A vigilant citizen who recognised her and who had seen her in the neighborhood alerted the police. The police swung into action and arrested both the lady and her boyfriend “abductor”.
