The Ebonyi State House of Assembly will on Monday begin the screening of caretaker committee nominees for the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
For women in the state, it was a cheery news as the list sent to the state House of Assembly by Governor Dave Umahi showed that 100 per cent of vice-chairmanship and secretary positions were reserved for them.
They(women) are also to produce two chairmen for Onicha and Ezza North LGAs.
Umahi had shortly after signing the amended section of the Local Government and Development Center law sent the list of the nominees to the House on Thursday.
The list showed that : Abakaliki LG has Peter Nwogbaga,chairman and Mrs Lady Maria Eze,secretary.
Afikpo North has Ogbonnia Oko Enyim-chairman while chief Mrs Oledinma is the secretary.
