The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has disowned Facebook Account in the name of the Commandant General Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu.
A statement by Emmanuel Okeh, Corps Public Relations Officer said the Commandant General of NSCDC does not operate any Facebook account. Therefore any facebook in the name of the officer is illegal, fake and fraudulent.
“The corps has intensified efforts to apprehend and prosecute those online scammers operating fake social media accounts to deceive the citizens.
‘The NSCDC therefore urges the general public, especially contractors and job-seekers to be wary of such Facebook accounts being operated by fraudsters to hoodwink and deceive members of the public” the statement added.
