Madumere tasks Ohaji people on unity

Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has called on the leadership of Ohaji-Egbema to work diligently for the unity of their people.

Prince Eze Madumere stated this when a political group under the aegis of Ohaji Political Elites League (OPEL) paid a solidarity to him in his office yesterday.

Addressing the group led by Hon. Dr. Esom Obodo, Imo Deputy Governor hammered on the need for cohesion among the leaders and the people, which he believes will help them achieve a greater feat in all their collective yearnings.

He appealed to his guests to jettison whatever that divides them, while embracing those things that unite them. His words, “There is nothing as productive as unity. With Unity, you can achieve much more. Eschew whatever that may divide and stay together to collectively face challenges. You all know adage, which says that working together is power”.

The number two citizen of Imo State used the opportunity to thank the group from Ohaji in Ohaji-Egbema local government area for their super support for him, Governor Okorocha and All Progressives Congress in the last election.
He however described Ohaji-Egbema as one of the special local governments Governor Okorocha holds so dear to his heart. He said it was because of this status that Governor Okorocha increased their quota in all the government projects and programmes especially in the area of Rural Road revolution.

He also said the Governor has ensured that the Contractors handling the power plant (NIPP) project have moved back to cite by collaborating with the Agency in charge. He revealed that the project will soon be delivered in next few months.

Speaking further, he averred that the Shell Gas Plant Project that seemed to have been abandoned for political reason will soon get off ground.

He charged them to continue to support Rescue Mission Government and be rest assured they will not be left behind.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the group, Sir Charles Uzoma eulogized Imo deputy Governor for his exemplary leadership andfor having always been there for the people of Ohaji and Ohaji-Egbema local government in general.

He appealed for consideration of people of Ohaji in some vital positions during appointments since they have ably qualified sons and daughters who are high fliers.

Leader of the delegation, Dr. Esom Obodo showered encomium on the Prince Eze Madumere for what he described as a great selfless leader thanked the rescue Mission government for interest in the local government. He also appealed to the government of Imo State to come to their aid in the area of Road rehabilitation and construction of more roads to alleviate the suffering of the people especially the farmers in movement of farm inputs and produce.
