Nigeria this morning defeated Hungary to advance to the next stage of the FIFA U-29 World Cup, thanks to a brace by Awoniyi who scored in the 33rd and 54th minutes.
Both teams lost to Brazil and beat Korea DPR, but as the Flying Eagles suffered a heavier defeat against the South Americans than their European counterparts, there were fears that Hungary Hungary could advance to the next round with a draw, whereas only a win will do for Nigeria.
