The Bayelsa State PDP Disciplinary Committee has summoned six persons to appear before it to explain their roles in the last State House of Assembly elections conducted in the State.

The persons, who failed to honour a previous invitation for the same purpose, include the senator representing Bayelsa Central, Senator Emmanuel Paulker, Senator Nimi Barigha-Amange and the suspended State Chairman of the PDP, Retired Col. Sam Inokoba.

Others are former Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Werinipre Seibarugu, former Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nestor Binabo and presidential aide, Hon. Waripamowei Dudafa.

They are expected to appear before the committee at the PDP Secretariat, along DSP Alamieyeseigha Way, Ovom, Yenagoa by 10 O’clock in the morning on Monday, 25th of May, 2015.

A statement issued on Saturday night by the Chairman and Secretary of the PDP Disciplinary Committee, Cleopas Moses and Dede Ofulu John, said the panel is not out to witch hunt anybody, but it is rather intended to sanitize the party as well as ensure discipline and loyalty on the part of its rank and file.

“Having received reports about the persons concerned, it is only proper to get their own side of the story to ensure fairness and equity in the discharge of its assignment”, the committee stated.
