FORMER label mates, Wizkid now Starboy boss, and Baseline Music act, Skales threw caution to the wind during the week and engaged themselves in a war of words on the social media. The latter had accused the former of stealing the beat for his hit song, “Azonto”, claiming also, that he wrote Wizkid’s “Superstar” song.
Angered by this allegation, Wizkid fired back at Skales in a series of tweets calling him names, and claiming it was mainly a publicity stunt from Skales to promote his new smash hit, “Je Kan Mo.”
Some of Wizkid’s tweets read thus: “Since you started your career you never dropped one album and you are claiming that you wrote my song! God punish your left balls. Skales!!’ Even when the label wanted to drop your a** cos you didn’t make one naira for 3 years! I was there!
You are a foolish guy with zero brain.’ However, defending her man, Skales’ girlfriend, Sasay lashed out at Wizkid.
In one of her tweets, Sasay, who has been dating Skales for two years now, said: ‘Before you tweet trash about someone’s hustle, think first, has your hustle paid off? How much do you fucking make? Can you afford a girl like me?’ But Wizkid’s well known boo, Tania Omotayo stayed off while the feud lasted. Skales, who is putting finishing touches on his debut album’ Man of the Year” has since deleted all his tweets. The video of his new smash hit, “Je Kan Mo” aws released on Tuesday. Both him and Wizkid were once signed unto the same record label, E.M.E owned by Banky W.credit: vanguard.
