Nigerian football sensational youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho, continued his impressive run for Man City on Sunday, as they routed AC Milan 5-0. Iheanacho scored the 4th goal in the 26 minutes.

Manuel Pellegrini paid tribute to Kelechi Iheanacho after he starred in Manchester City’s win over Sporting Kansas City but admitted that the Premier League champions may struggle to secure a work permit for the teenage Nigerian striker.

Iheanacho, 17, capped an impressive appearance by scoring the last of City’s goals in a 4-1 win at Sporting Park and Pellegrini is convinced he has a bright future in the game.

City beat a host of European clubs to sign Iheanacho after he scored six goals in seven games to claim the Golden Ball at last summer’s Under 17 World Championship.

Iheanacho is just 17-years-old and he is a product of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana. It is a registered charity that has been providing underprivileged African footballers with the opportunity for elite training programmes and international education. City have a positive relationship with the set-up and another forward, Godsway Donyoh, signed for City from there in January.

He joined the squad on the trip to Scotland for games against Dundee and Hearts and was then invited into Manuel Pellegrini’s 23-man squad for the tour of the United States. Another Nigerian Chidiebere Nwakali, also went to Scotland.
