The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso will this Wednesday confer the Honourary degree D.Sc (Honoris Causa) in Management Sciences on the National Leader of the All Progressive Party (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The award being conferred on Senator Tinubu who is also the Chancellor of the institution, is part of activities marking the 11th special Convocation ceremony of the University.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin had told newsmen that a total of 12,191 first degrees and 9,376 post graduate degrees would be awarded at Convocation ceremony which is being packaged for graduands of the last three academic sessions namely 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 respectively.
According to the Vice Chancellor, for the first time in the history of the University, “certificates of all the graduates are ready for collection in the various faculties immediately after the convocation ceremony.”
