If you say President Jonathan has not performed creditably, then come out let us have a debate on his achievements, the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday challenged the opposition.
A statement by Chief Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of the party said the PDP has “noted spirited moves to politicise the content and direction of the last statement issued by the party wherein it alerted Nigerians on attempts by some unpatriotic elements to frustrate President Goodluck Jonathan using the promotion of insurgency in the country.
“We wish to state categorically that we stand by our statement and restate our commendation to President Goodluck Jonathan for remaining undaunted and posting unprecedented achievements for the benefit of all Nigerians against all odds.
“It is an incontrovertible fact that Nigerians have witnessed a just and equitable allocation and distribution of resources and infrastructure across the entire zones under the present PDP-led administration and this is due to the forthrightness of the President and his vigorous application of his Transformation Agenda which has touched every segment of our national life.
“This is in spite of the enormous resources that have been channeled towards the fight against insurgency unleashed by the enemies of our dear country.
“We challenge the opposition to a debate on the achievements of the PDP-led administration on zone by zone and sector by sector basis. The facts are there and the achievements are visible”.
