Oyo Declares Wednesday Half-Working Day for late Princess Alakija

Oyo State Government has declared Wednesday, 6th November, 2013, a day of Tribute for late Princess Tejumade Alakija,-the first female Head of Service in the Old Oyo State Civil Service and indeed Nigeria.
To this end, the State Government has declared a half working day for Public/Civil Servants in the state.
A statement from the Office of the Head of Service has directed all public/civil Servants in the state to close for work at 12noon on Wednesday to honour the Iconic Mother of Nigeria Bureaucracy.
The Tribute programme holds at the House of Chiefs, Parliament Building, Secretariat, Ibadan at 11:30 a.m.
It would be recalled that Princess Tejumade Alakija- the first female Head of Service in the Old Oyo State and Nigeria died on Friday, 23rd August, 2013 at the age of 88 years.
