The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Yobe on Thursday confirmed the killing of a pastor and two others in an attack in Dorowa village, Nangere local government area, Yobe.
A terse statement on the incident, signed by JTF spokesperson, Capt. Eli Lazarus, did not give the names of the victims, but said the deceased were killed by suspected members of Boko Haram sect in the early hours of Thursday.
“In the early hours of Thursday, Sept. 26, unknown gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists, attacked Dorowa village, Nangere local government area of Yobe.”
The statement also said that a Church and two houses were razed down by the attackers.
“Efforts are ongoing by men of the 3 Division Special Operations Battalion, to arrest perpetrators of this dastardly act.” said the statement, which did not give detailed account of how the incident occurred.
