Imo Artistes to honour Chris Anyanwu, Ibari Ogwa, others

In continuation to its annual award event, the bodies of Imo State Based Artistes (ISBA) will this Sunday honour the Chief Executive Officer of Ibari Ogwa Village Mr. Chukwudi Ofoha, renowned writer Ugochukwu Favour-Mayor, Distinguished Senator representing Imo East, Senator Chris Anyanwu and few other art patrons and ambassadors in Imo State.
The award event which is the fifth edition in its annual series and tagged CAPA 2013, would be holding at the popular hangout Ibari Ogwa Village, located at No. 1 Chief Emma Ugorji Estate, World Bank Owerri, Imo State.
Speaking, the event facilitator and theater art practitioner, Ugo Stevenson said the nomination was based on the awardees’ profound enviable contributions towards the development of arts and artistry in Imo State, and from various artistes and the entire art community.
He said: “The day is set aside by Imo artistes to enable us express our gratitude to their honour, for laying the foundation, and providing the platform and support on which many artistes rode on to success and actualized their creative potentials,” he said.
He promised that this august event would be fun-packed, as they have organized activities that will put their valued guest in a relaxed and refreshing mood with the best from Imo State’s based music and Nollywood artistes.
Also to be on parade for honour on this event that is timed for 1pm are: Uche Elendu, Uche Ogbuagu, Nnamdi Osuagwu, Lambert Ojukwu, Sister E, Gele Agbai, Alan B. Onyemaechi, Sunny Bobo, Chris Chikere, Joe Anyama, Amayo Uzo-Philips, Nma Olebara, Toniel Avo, Amanda Richard, Ababanna.
