Imo State, Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has described the Appellate court verdict, which re-validated their victory at 2015 guber election as an act of God and victory for democracy.

Speaking briefly to the select newsmen, Prince Madumere said the verdict has proven that hand of God is upon Owelle Rochas Okorocha led administration. He reminded his guests that the saying in Latin “Vox populi, Vox dei”, which means the voice of the people is the voice of God has played out.

Speaking further, he narrated God’s institution of the present government through the good people of Imo State in 2011 when they voted in Owelle Rochas Okorocha led administration through All Progressives Congress despite “the presence so called big political parties”.

The number two citizen of Imo State stressed that it is the people’s mandate that has kept Governor Okorocha focused on his electoral promises. He averred that despite barrage of law suits in the last political dispensation, Governor Okorocha never gave any excuse not to perform beyond the expectation of the people.
Prince Madumere therefore called on the good people of Imo State to rally round Governor Okorocha and give him total support, while assuring them that Governor Okorocha led Rescue Mission government will in no little measure ensure that democratic dividends will continue to get to the people.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri had earlier today dismissed Hon. Emeka Ihedioha’s appeal over the verdict, which revalidated Governor Okorocha’s re-election victory for lack of merit. Justice Jimmy Bada had giving said the matter because the names of respondents were not properly listed in the appeal.
