The Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, has launched an investigation into the deaths of two Nollywood production crew members found inside a parked vehicle in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

The deceased, Godstime Imeh, a lighting director and CEO of GeeTee Light, and Walter Odediran, a creative video director popularly known as Director Carrinqton, were discovered lifeless on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at a movie location.

According to sources, the two men had arrived early for a film shoot to install lighting equipment. After completing their work, they reportedly rested inside Imeh’s car while waiting for further instructions. When repeated phone calls went unanswered later in the day, colleagues checked the vehicle and found them unresponsive.

The case was initially reported at the Maroko Police Station before being transferred to the SCID for further investigation.

Police have questioned the film producer, a food vendor, a crew member who delivered a meal to the victims, and hospital management linked to the filming location. The food vendor is currently in custody.

Investigators are examining possible causes, including environmental factors, ingestion, or mechanical issues. Autopsy and toxicology tests, vehicle inspection, and CCTV analysis are ongoing.

Family members described the incident as devastating and called for a thorough investigation. Authorities say findings from forensic examinations will determine the exact cause of death.
