Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has pledged sustained support for the completion of the Sacred Heart Primary and Secondary School in Ozubulu, describing education as a critical tool for national transformation.

Obi made the commitment on Tuesday while joining the Papal Nuncio to Nigeria, Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo, to lay the foundation stone of the school. He described the event as deeply fulfilling, noting that investing in education is essential for shaping a better future for Nigerian children.

To ensure the successful delivery of the project, Obi announced that he would provide a monthly subvention to support the construction until completion. He said the gesture was his humble contribution toward turning the vision of the Sacred Heart School into a living institution that would serve generations, particularly children who may not otherwise have access to quality education.

According to him, genuine development is rooted in shared responsibility and sustained commitment, stressing that the school project symbolises hope, action, and a deliberate investment in the future through education.

Obi added that initiatives such as the Sacred Heart School reinforce his belief that a new Nigeria is possible, with education serving as a strong foundation for national growth and development.
