The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has disowned online links and platforms being circulated as its official membership registration portals, warning Nigerians to ignore them.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said no membership registration exercise is currently underway. He described the circulating links, websites and social media handles as fraudulent and potentially harmful to unsuspecting members of the public.
Abdullahi said the ADC is still finalising arrangements for a secure and credible registration process, which will be announced through the party’s verified communication channels when ready.
He stressed that the party would never request payments or sensitive personal information—such as phone numbers, PVC or BVN details—through unofficial links, WhatsApp messages, direct messages or third-party websites.
The ADC advised Nigerians to avoid clicking on suspicious links, refrain from sharing unverified registration messages and report any suspected fake platforms through official party channels.
According to the statement, all legitimate announcements concerning ADC activities, including membership registration, will only come from the party’s verified platforms and formal statements from its leadership.
