World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a road accident on Monday in Makun, Ogun State.
The crash occurred along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway when the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua, with registration number KRD 850 HN, reportedly collided with a stationary truck near Danco Filling Station. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that Joshua sustained minor injuries and was rescued from the vehicle. Tragically, two persons were confirmed dead at the scene of the accident.

Fans have since taken to social media to express concern over the boxer’s safety, while authorities continue investigations into the incident.
Attempts to reach the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) Commandant, Akinbiyi Babatunde, for official comments were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotosho said the government has sent rescue emergency to the scene.
