The Police Service Commission (PSC) has warned Nigerians to disregard fake recruitment notices circulating on social media and unverified websites.
In a statement issued on Monday by its Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Torty Njoku Kalu, the Commission described the online publications as “false, misleading, and the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to exploit unsuspecting citizens.”
The PSC stressed that no recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force is currently ongoing, and no official portal has been opened for such purposes.
The statement added that whenever recruitment begins, the public will be duly informed through credible national newspapers, the Commission’s verified website and official press releases.
The Commission urged Nigerians to ignore all unofficial notices, warning that any recruitment portal not published on its official website is fraudulent and should be reported to the police.
