Nigeria’s Super Eagles will take on Gabon in the semi-final of the CAF 2026 World Cup Playoff scheduled to hold in Morocco this November.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the fixtures for the decisive playoff round, which will determine Africa’s final representative in the Inter-Confederation Playoffs for a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to the schedule, Nigeria will face Gabon on November 13, 2025, while Cameroon will clash with DR Congo in the other semi-final on the same day. The winners of both encounters will advance to the final, slated for November 16, 2025, also in Morocco.

The overall winner of the CAF playoff will represent Africa in the Inter-Confederation Playoffs, where they will face a team from Asia (AFC), South America (CONMEBOL), North and Central America (CONCACAF), or Oceania (OFC) for one of the remaining spots at the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria, who narrowly missed out on automatic qualification after finishing second in their group, will be hoping to redeem themselves and book a seventh World Cup appearance.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will feature 48 teams — the largest in the tournament’s history.
