Estêvão scored a dramatic 95th-minute winner as Chelsea defeated Liverpool 2–1 at Stamford Bridge, handing Arne Slot’s side their third successive loss for the first time under the Dutch manager.

Moises Caicedo had earlier fired the Blues ahead with a stunning first-half strike, before Cody Gakpo equalised for Liverpool just after the hour mark. But the Reds’ relief was short-lived as Chelsea’s late pressure paid off, sealing a deserved victory in stoppage time.

Despite missing several key defenders through injury and suspension, Enzo Maresca’s side showed tremendous resilience. Youngsters Josh Acheampong and Benoît Badiashile stood firm before both were forced off injured, leaving Chelsea to finish the game with a makeshift defence.

Liverpool, meanwhile, looked disjointed and sluggish. Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak failed to make an impact, while Ibrahima Konaté endured another difficult afternoon before being substituted early in the second half.

Florian Wirtz, dropped to the bench after a poor run of form, made little difference when introduced, as Liverpool once again lacked creativity and composure.

The defeat sees the reigning champions slip further behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race, while Chelsea’s spirited win lifts them back into contention for European places.
