Babcock University has dismissed as false and malicious an online report alleging that one of its Vice-Chancellor aspirants, Dr. Afolarin Ojewole, was involved in past sexual misconduct.

In a statement issued by the institution’s management, the report was described as a calculated attempt to damage the reputation of both Dr. Ojewole and the university.

The management stressed that the claims were part of an orchestrated effort to discredit the transparent process currently underway to appoint a successor to the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ademola Tayo.

Babcock urged the public to disregard the publication and reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, accountability, and fairness in the selection of its next Vice-Chancellor.
