Peter Obi Mourns Clarita Ogar, Labour Party’s 2023 Reps Candidate for Yala/Ogoja

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has announced the passing of Hon. Clarita Ogar, describing her as a fearless patriot who embodied the ideals of justice and national progress.

In a heartfelt statement issued on Thursday, Obi expressed deep sorrow over Ogar’s demise, noting that she was the Labour Party’s candidate for the Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency seat during the 2023 general elections.

“With a weighty heart, on behalf of the entire Obidient family, I regret to announce the untimely passing of our dear sister and comrade, Hon. Clarita Ogar,” Obi stated. “She was not just a patriot but also a fearless woman who stood for justice and a better Nigeria.”

Obi revealed that he had personally reached out to Ogar’s family a few days ago and was informed of the sad development. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and the wider Labour Party and Obidient community.

“I want to again sincerely offer my condolences on behalf of my family and the Obidient family. May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may God give her family and all of us the fortitude to bear her sad, irreplaceable loss,” Obi added.

The former Anambra State governor prayed for divine comfort for the Ogar family and called on the Obidient movement to honor her legacy by continuing to stand for justice and the values she upheld.

Clarita Ogar was known for her grassroots mobilization efforts and active participation in the Labour Party’s drive to transform the political landscape in Cross River State.

Her death has been described as a significant loss to the party and the wider community she served.
