Major General Christopher Jemitola, the former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, collapsed and passed away on Thursday at the IBB Golf Course in Abuja.
Family sources confirmed that despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The late General served in several key positions, including as the Corps Commander of the Nigerian Army Signals, Nigeria’s Defence Adviser to Brazil, and Director of Army Public Relations.
A native of Ososo in Akoko Edo Local Government Area, Edo State, Jemitola served as Obasanjo’s ADC from 2003 to 2007 while still a colonel. He later became the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) in the Nigerian Army before retiring.
