The National Association of Electronic Media Presenters of Nigeria, NAEMPON, has re-elected Salvator Amadi as Publicity Secretary.
Amadi, a resident political affairs analyst on Darling FM 107.3 Owerri audience interactive program, “Politics 107”, publisher of National Newsblast Newspaper and former Public Relations Officer of Imo Newspaper Publishers Association, INPA, was returned unopposed along with seven other members of the association’s maiden Executive including Presenter Jerry Osuji of Orient FM/TV.
The election which was held at Mbari Kitchen Owerri, capital of Imo State on Friday 11th October, 2024, was supervised by the Department of State Services (DSS) and one of the patrons of the association, Chief Dr Sir Fidel Onyeneke, a former two-term Chairman of the Imo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Also elected were Michelle Ukaegbu, Vice President, Victor Clark Alisigwe Secretary, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Akubuo, Treasurer, Princess Vivien Uchechi Unegbu, Financial Secretary, Obinna Chineke, Assistant Secretary, Innocent Akamdiocha, Director of Protocol 1, Ngozi Ejimadu, Welfare Officer 1, Mary Joan Amadi, Welfare Officer 2, and Emmanuel Uzodimma Anyanwu, Director of Protocol 2.
It would be recalled that the NAEMPON maiden Executive Committee was inaugurated at Old English Restaurant Owerri on 7th October, 2021 and their three-year tenure expired on 7th October, 2024.
