A group known as Concerned Edo Citizens Forum has lambasted the APC in the state for lacking a blueprint for the development of the state.

In a statement issued at the weekend, the group said candidates in the forthcoming election in the state should concentrate on what good they have for the state and not mundane rhetoric of how many flyovers have been built in the state.

The spokesperson of the group, Rose Asowata said the opposition party has realized it has no good intentions for the state hence its commentaries on frivolities.

According to the group, Edo state needs someone who has the acumen and foresight with a blueprint for the development of the state and not those talking about non issues.

“Serious minded candidates are telling the electorates what they have on their sleeves and not mundane frivolities.

Asowata said flyover is not a yardstick to assess development, “they have forgotten the educational advancement, improvement of health care delivery and battle to eradicate cultist activities in the state.”

Building of flyover doesn’t mean outright development. There are many areas where the current administration has developed Edo State.

The State, under the current government, has witnessed significant development in the areas of education, healthcare delivery and infrastructure including roads.

The opposition party is bereft of blueprint they have for the development of the state but rather concentrating on irrelevance.

“Serious minded candidates are telling the electorates what they have on their sleeves and not wasting their time on frivolities.”

Asue Ighodalo’s track record cannot be beaten by the APC candidate, Monday Okpehbolo who is being spoonfed by his Godfather behind the scene.
