Ogbaturuenyi Mbaise, has congratulated
H.E. Mgr Simeon Okezuo Nwobi on his elevation as Bishop of Ahiara Catholic Diocese.
In a statement in Lagos on Saturday, Sir Enwereuzor who doubles as the Clan Chief of Mbaise and Clan Head, both home and the Diaspora of Ezuruezu Mbaise, rejoiced with Most Rev. Nwobi who was titular bishop of Rusgunie and auxiliary to the apostolic administrator sede vacante of Ahiara Catholic Diocese before he was elevated by Pope Francis as the substantive bishop on May 3.
The statement read in part: “With utmost gratitude to Almighty God and unmitigated joy and gladness in my heart, I felicitate with you, the Mbaise Catholic community and Ezuruezu Mbaise at home and the Diaspora on your deserved confirmation as the substantive Bishop of Ahiara Catholic Diocese.
“This elevation stands as a loud testament to your unwavering commitment, abiding dedication and unrestrained loyalty as a chosen vessel of the Most High.
“I rejoice, especially at this momentous occasion which not only aligns with our vision and mission in Ezuruezu Mbaise, but underscores the unity and joy it brings to our people, transcending boundaries of religious inclinations, political affiliations and social reputation.
“The journey of your priesthood reflects a steadfast commitment to both spiritual and academic excellence; from a humble beginning in Eziama Oparanadim Ekwereazu, culminating in deep intellectual and spiritual excellence and accomplishments now globally acknowledged.
