INEC recognises Wike-backed PDP leadership after convention

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised a faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

The update was reflected on INEC’s website on Monday, where the commission published a revised list of the party’s national leadership.

Among those listed are Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, alongside other members of the NWC.

Both leaders emerged from the PDP National Convention held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, where party officials were elected by consensus following the dissolution of the national caretaker committee.

The newly recognised NWC members include:

1. Abdulrahman Mohammed — National Chairman

2. Aaron Chukwuemeka — Deputy National Chairman (South)

3. Yusufu Akirikwen — Deputy National Chairman (North)

4. Samuel Anyanwu — National Secretary

5. Kolawale Olabisi — Deputy National Secretary

6. Odeyemi Oladiran — National Treasurer

7. Lado Marke — Deputy National Treasurer

8. Eyim Henry — National Financial Secretary

9. Grema Kyari — Deputy National Financial Secretary

10. Umar Bature — National Organising Secretary

11. Efere Augustine — Deputy National Organising Secretary

12. Jungudo Mohammed — National Publicity Secretary

13. Egwu Chidiebere — Deputy National Publicity Secretary

14. Kamaldeen Ajibade — National Legal Adviser

15. Aloysius Uba — Deputy National Legal Adviser

16. Osuoha Donatus — National Auditor

17. Adaba Seri Yatu — Deputy National Auditor

18. Ogunshe Adedayo — National Women Leader

19. Hauwa Shinge — Deputy National Women Leader

20. Ibrahim Aboki — National Youth Leader

21. Momoh Bashir — Deputy National Youth Leader
