The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, praising his leadership and reform-driven agenda.

Speaking on behalf of the APC’s National Working Committee, leaders, stakeholders, and members at home and in the diaspora, Yilwatda said the President’s birthday is not only a moment of celebration but also an opportunity to reflect on his enduring contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development.

He described Tinubu as a visionary leader whose political journey has been marked by resilience, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to nation-building. According to him, the President has consistently demonstrated patriotism and courage—from his role in Nigeria’s democratic struggle to his tenure as Governor of Lagos State and now as Commander-in-Chief.

Yilwatda noted that Tinubu assumed office at a critical period and has since shown boldness in addressing deep-rooted economic and governance challenges. He commended the administration’s willingness to implement difficult but necessary reforms aimed at ensuring long-term stability, growth, and national prosperity.

He added that the government’s policies are designed to stabilise the economy, boost investor confidence, strengthen fiscal discipline, and drive infrastructure development, while also promoting innovation and enterprise.

The APC chairman further highlighted the administration’s focus on improving livelihoods through social interventions, agricultural development, industrial revival, enhanced energy security, and expanded access to education and healthcare.

He said Tinubu’s leadership reflects clarity of purpose, political wisdom, and a strong belief in Nigeria’s potential, noting that the President has shown the courage required to take decisive actions in the nation’s interest.

Yilwatda acknowledged that reforms may bring temporary hardship but expressed confidence that they would yield long-term benefits for Nigerians.

“As a party, we are proud of the discipline, focus, and patriotism with which President Tinubu is steering the country,” he said.

He concluded by praying for the President’s continued strength, wisdom, and good health, urging Nigerians to support his efforts to build a more stable and prosperous nation.

The statement was signed by Abimbola Tooki, Special Adviser to the National Chairman on Media and Communications Strategy.
