The APC National Chairman extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the leadership and members of the Lagos State chapter of the party, and the newly elected State Executive Committee led by Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi over the tragic loss.
He noted that Karamo’s sudden departure is a huge loss not only to the Lagos State chapter of the party but also to the progressive family across the country.
“We received with profound sadness the news of the passing of Mr. Yesiro Karamo, a committed party man who had just been entrusted with the responsibility of serving our great party as Assistant Publicity Secretary in Lagos State. His death at such a moment is heartbreaking,” the National Chairman said.
Professor Yilwatda said the late Karamo demonstrated remarkable dedication, loyalty, and passion for the ideals of progressive politics and was poised to contribute significantly to strengthening the party’s communication and engagement with the public in Lagos State.
The APC National Chairman commended the Lagos State leadership of the party for honouring the memory of the deceased by postponing the inauguration of the newly elected state executives.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and urged party members in Lagos State to remain strong and united during this difficult time.
Professor Yilwatda also extended the condolences of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to the immediate family, friends, and associates of the late Karamo, praying that God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
