Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in Osun State is under scrutiny following allegations that more than seven federally funded capital projects valued at over N20 billion remain unexecuted.
One of the projects, titled “Construction of Inner Roads and Provision of Solar Street Lights in Ikeji-Arakeji,” was reportedly approved and funded. According to documents obtained by journalists, a letter dated July 16, 2024, showed that the lawmaker representing the constituency, Oluwole Oke, requested the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to award the N500 million contract to MC Aremo Nigeria Limited.
In the letter, the lawmaker reportedly recommended the company based on its claimed experience in executing similar projects and urged that it be given priority consideration. The firm’s General Manager, Ajibola Olujobi, is described as a political associate of the legislator.

However, a visit to Ikeji-Arakeji community revealed that the road construction and installation of solar street lights, allegedly valued at N500 million, have neither commenced nor been completed.
Corporate records show that MC Aremo Nigeria Limited (RC 728958) was registered on February 4, 2008, with an office address at Plot 1950, Algiers Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. The company is listed as a private unlimited entity with Dele Durojaiye and Dele Olatunji as directors, and Ogungbayibi Ayotunde Amos as secretary.
Further findings indicate that the company wrote to the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development requesting payment of a 60 percent balance for another project linked to the constituency. The letter was signed by Ajibola Olujobi as General Manager.
Despite the disclosures, the ownership structure of the company remains unclear.
Ajibola Olujobi, who has been publicly identified as a political ally of Oluwole Oke, was recently named Renewed Hope Ambassador for Obokun Local Government. Social media searches show him appearing at political events and listed as a contact person during the lawmaker’s 2025 JAMB registration support initiative.
Efforts to obtain a response from Oluwole Oke were unsuccessful, as calls and text messages sent to his phone were not answered.
