Chippa United Football Club has confirmed the departure of Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali following his formal request to leave the club.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, February 5, 2026, the Port Elizabeth–based side said it had carefully considered Nwabali’s request and agreed to grant his release.
The club praised the goalkeeper for his dedication and professionalism during his time at Chippa United, noting that his contributions would remain appreciated by the club.
“We would like to sincerely thank Stanley Nwabali for the years of service, commitment, and professionalism he has shown during his time at Chippa United Football Club,” the statement read.
Chippa United also wished the shot-stopper success in the next phase of his career and in his future endeavours.
Nwabali joined the Chilli Boys as an emerging talent and went on to establish himself as a key figure at the club, earning plaudits for his performances and consistency between the posts.
