Globacom has rolled out four brand-new Nollywood movies now streaming at no cost on its premium entertainment platform, Glo TV. This fresh wave of content further demonstrates the company’s commitment to enriching Nigeria’s digital entertainment landscape.
Announcing the release on Wednesday in Lagos, Globacom stated that the films showcase some of Africa’s most celebrated actors and storytellers. Together, they deliver an exciting blend of comedy, romance, drama, cultural authenticity, and emotional depth. The new titles include Johnny Just Come (JJC), Eko Vibes, Bound, and Shifting Desire.
The company emphasized that the content rollout features stories unavailable in cinemas, on YouTube, or on any other VoD platform. “Each movie was carefully selected to highlight diverse African experiences while providing top-tier entertainment that is entirely FREE—no subscriptions, no fees,” Globacom said.
Leading the lineup is Shifting Desire, starring Lilian Afegbai and Majid Michel. The gripping romantic drama explores themes of intimacy, betrayal, emotional healing, and the journey of a couple working through therapy to rebuild trust. The film debuted on Glo TV on December 2 and is currently streaming for free.
Another standout movie is Johnny Just Come (JJC), featuring Patience Ozokwor and Nancy Isime. This lively cultural crossover comedy follows an American man attempting to navigate love and marriage within an African household, highlighting themes of identity, family, and cultural coexistence.
Also added to the platform is Bound, starring Rita Dominic and Eyinna Nwigwe. The emotional family drama follows a high-achieving career woman struggling with long-suppressed personal secrets and the strain they place on her relationship. The film delivers powerful performances and heartfelt storytelling.
Completing the lineup is Eko Vibes, starring Broda Shaggi, Josh2Funny, and Nkechi Blessing. The movie captures the vibrant hustle of Lagos youth, showcasing ambition, humour, and the spirited energy of young Lagosians striving to make their mark.
Globacom noted that the releases reflect its ongoing investment in original African content. “With these exclusive titles, Glo TV is reshaping digital entertainment in Nigeria by offering fresh, high-quality stories not available anywhere else. Our goal is to celebrate African creativity while expanding our carefully curated content library,” the company added.
While Shifting Desire is already streaming, the remaining titles will premiere free throughout the Yuletide season on the Glo TV app, available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
