In a statement issued on Monday, NMA-FCT Chairman, Dr. Emeka Ayogu, said the doctor was found in Gwagwalada late Sunday night and is currently receiving medical care.

“After almost three weeks in captivity, Dr. Nwachukwu has been freed. She was rescued safely in Gwagwalada and is now receiving adequate medical attention,” Ayogu said.

He expressed gratitude to security agencies and all those who supported efforts to secure her release. He added that the association looks forward to her reunion with her family.
