Realnews Magazine and Publications Limited has announced that three leading experts in financial technology, cybersecurity, and national security will headline the panel discussion at the 13th edition of its Anniversary Lecture Series scheduled to hold in Lagos.

The panel, which follows the main lecture, will feature Lasbery Chioma Oludimu (LLM, MCIArb, ACIS), Vice President of Global Operations and Managing Director, Yellow Card Financial Inc., Nigeria; Dr. Favour Femi-Oyewole, Group Chief Information Security Officer of Access Bank Plc; and Mr. Abdul Rahman M. Mustapha, Chief Operating Officer, Intelligence & Security Services Support Sector of the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).

This year’s theme is “Cybersecurity, Illicit Financial Flows and Achieving Agenda 2063 in Africa.” The event will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, beginning at 10 a.m.

Oludimu, a legal and fintech expert, oversees Yellow Card’s operations across 20 African countries and has built a reputation in blockchain policy, digital assets innovation, and regulatory compliance. She has been recognised globally, including being named among the Top 50 Women Leaders in Financial Services in 2024.

Dr. Femi-Oyewole is regarded as one of Nigeria’s foremost cybersecurity professionals, with a career spanning over 25 years. A member of the Forbes Technology Council and the first African woman to be certified as a Blockchain Professional, she brings a robust portfolio that includes roles in enterprise risk management, regulatory strategy, and digital security advocacy across public and private sectors.

Mustapha, on his part, has led several national security intelligence initiatives involving counter-terrorism financing, multi-agency intelligence coordination, and financial crime prevention. His work at the NFIU focuses on strengthening Nigeria’s financial intelligence capabilities in alignment with international AML/CFT standards.

Realnews earlier announced that the lecture will be chaired and moderated by Justice Ayotunde Phillips, former Chief Judge of Lagos State and past Chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC). The Guest Speaker and Keynote Speaker for the event will be announced shortly.

Established in 2013, the Realnews Anniversary Lecture Series has become a platform for informed dialogue on governance, economic development, accountability, and democratic values in Africa. Past speakers include former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama; former Chief of Staff to the President, Ambassador Ibrahim Gambari; NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd.); and Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Governor of Anambra State.

Realnews, an online publication known for investigative journalism and public-interest reporting, says the lecture series is part of its mission to contribute to national development by shaping policy conversations and amplifying thought leadership.
