American singer and Grammy Award winner, Ciara Princess Wilson, popularly known as Ciara, has arrived in Lagos for a cultural and tourism visit as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the Lagos Fashion Week.
Her visit was confirmed in a statement by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor. According to the statement, Ciara was received by the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka.
> “International superstar and Grammy Award winner, Ciara Princess Wilson, is in Lagos, accompanied by the Commissioner for Tourism, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka,” the statement read.
Gawat added that Ciara’s visit celebrates Lagos’ vibrant culture and creativity.
> “She will be joining us in Lagos to celebrate our tourism, our art, and our culture. It’s a homecoming for her and other creatives who see Lagos as home,” he said.
During her stay, the singer is expected to visit several cultural and heritage sites in Lagos and participate in events commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Lagos Fashion Week, held in collaboration with the Lagos State Government.
The Lagos Fashion Week has grown to become one of Africa’s leading platforms for showcasing fashion, art, and design, attracting global attention and promoting Nigeria’s creative economy.
