The Kano State Hisbah Board says it has begun implementing a court order directing two popular TikTok content creators, Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda, to marry within 60 days.

The directive follows a ruling by the Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board after videos of the pair deemed “indecent” went viral online.

Confirming the development, the Deputy Commander General of the Hisbah Board, Sheikh Mujahid Aminudeen, said preparations for the wedding are already underway. He disclosed that the board has contacted its counterpart in Zamfara to liaise with the bride’s family and arrange their participation in the ceremony.

According to him, both TikTokers have been subjected to health and compatibility screenings, including tests for HIV, genotype, and drug use, as part of the pre-marital process.

Aminudeen added that discussions are ongoing to finalise details regarding the dowry and accommodation to ensure the marriage is conducted smoothly within the court’s stipulated timeframe.
