Nigerian lawmaker and businessman, Senator Ned Nwoko, has raised serious concerns about the health and wellbeing of his actress wife, Regina Daniels, alleging that she is battling drug and alcohol addiction and urgently needs rehabilitation.
In a statement titled “Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence,” the Delta North senator said Regina’s recent conduct was the result of substance abuse, warning that unless she continues her rehabilitation program, her life may be in danger.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” Nwoko stated. “She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.”
The senator alleged that Regina had moved to a place where she could have unrestricted access to drugs, contrary to medical advice. He also claimed that her behavior had become violent, noting that she allegedly slapped and assaulted three staff members within 48 hours and destroyed cars and windows at their residence.
While denying allegations of domestic violence, Nwoko said, “I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here.”
He added that he had set a clear condition for her to undergo rehabilitation either in Asokoro, Abuja, or outside Nigeria—specifically in Jordan—where access to drugs would be limited.
According to Nwoko, the situation worsened when their child, Moon, needed medical attention. “A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon to the hospital, but instead she even threatened to kill our resident nurse for exposing her drug abuse,” he claimed.
Nwoko said he personally took the child to the hospital, only to be informed later that chaos had broken out at home, allegedly caused by a man identified as Sammy, whom he described as Regina’s “main drug supplier.” He also named another alleged supplier as “Ann.”
