A Delta State indigene, Mr. Emmanuel Efayeta Kuejubola, has written an open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seeking a loan of ₦12 billion to execute an ambitious housing and agricultural development project in the state.

In the letter dated October 13, 2025, and published in Vanguard on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Mr. Kuejubola described himself as a Nigerian from Okpavuerhe Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State. He said the initiative was designed to tackle Nigeria’s housing deficit, create thousands of jobs, and promote food security through agricultural development.

According to him, the project, titled “Development of New Settlements for Housing and Agriculture,” will begin in Delta State with the acquisition of 400 acres of land for the construction of 400 two-bedroom bungalow units in its first phase. The long-term target, he explained, is the development of 3,000 housing units across various locations in the country.

“The said money I am asking from you will partly be spent on acquisition of four hundred acres of land and its documentation at a location in Delta State. Thereafter, I will start the development of 400 housing units of two-bedroom bungalows,” Kuejubola wrote.

He further noted that the project would create over 3,000 jobs and provide free education to at least 1,000 Nigerians from primary to university level. The plan, he said, aims to reduce poverty and improve the living standards of citizens through sustainable housing and employment generation.

“Our inaction can further increase the level of poverty, hunger, and starvation in the land. The plan is geared towards addressing housing shortages in Nigeria, creating job opportunities, and improving our business environment,” the letter read.

Kuejubola, who said he had earlier written a similar appeal to business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote without a response, urged President Tinubu to consider the proposal without imposing any preconditions. He pledged to repay the ₦12 billion loan within 36 months of disbursement.

“Please, Mr. President, don’t give me any precondition to receive this loan. Idea may rule the world, but money answers all things. I trust that your response will be favourable as many Nigerians including me and my family will be taken out of poverty,” he stated.

Kuejubola expressed faith that President Tinubu, whom he described as one of the “holy mad men” capable of transforming Nigeria, would support visionary citizens willing to contribute to nation-building.

He concluded his appeal with a prayer for the President’s success and provided his personal and bank details, expressing optimism for a positive response.
