In line with the Corps Marshal’s policy on “Training and Retraining of Staff to Align with Realistic Expectations,” the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Lagos Zonal Command hosted a one-day capacity-building workshop for Heads of Operations and Outpost Commanders at the Lagos Sector Command.
The workshop, themed “Contemporary Challenges of Operational Activities in the Face of Social Media: The Way Forward,” was declared open by the Lagos Zonal Commanding Officer, ACM Ann O. Oladayo, fsi.
The event featured seasoned experts, including DCM Bisi Kazeem, fsi (Rtd.), CC Ganiyu K. Hamzat, and DCC Bonaventure Nnamani, who served as resource persons.
Discussions focused on practical strategies for tackling operational challenges, responsible use of social media, incident reporting, civility to the public, and countering online misrepresentations. Participants also shared experiences from the field and gained valuable legal and operational perspectives.
At the end of the session, attendees pledged to put the lessons learned into practice to enhance service delivery and strengthen public trust in the Corps.
